About Our School...
Over the last decade, Arctic Paws has been primarily committed to the sponsorship and support of junior mushing in Alaska. Because Rex's love for sled dogs began at just eight years old, thanks to his mentor, Frank Hall; Rex has a love for helping kids get the opportunity to run dogs. Many families can not afford to keep dogs or do not have the option of owning dogs.
Our Junior Musher Sponsorship Program, funded largley by Rex's military retirement, has enabled many children to participate in our sponsored activities. Running dogs gives kids the opportunity to overcome a fear, become responsible for themselves and their dogs, and builds the self-confidence kids need to get through life. Arctic Paws Kennel offers several programs including mushing instruction for children and adults and team leases for recreation and races. |
